When are they going to open??? It doesn't seem like too much has been doen at any of these Englery locations, with the exception of The PUG which looks ready to go on the outside?

I disagree. I constantly see people working on the varioous place. The thing is thatsome of these places are total gut jobs. They are hoing to have the Hotel open in late March/eary April (a couple of the other places may actually open before that time).

Yeah, my friends and I ran into some guys coming out of the R&R Hotel building the other weekend. They're working.
A Middle Eastern menu in a place called the Rock & Roll Hotel? I love Middle Eastern cuisine and look forward to it but sometimes I can't figure out what he's trying to accomplish w/ these places. Oh well, I'll just go with the flow and be thankful they're there.

The events section of the website is a little over the top. I am not sure how the pictures relate to a music place.

Topless girls in bikini bottoms seems pretty rock and roll to me. Middle Eastern cusine on the other hand doesn't. Why not make it American food with some dishes that are celebrity favorites. They could serve fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches a la Elvis.

Are they actually going to offer rooms to stay in? Because when I look for a hotel room, I want a noisy place full of drunk people at all hours.

The name is Rock & Roll Hotel, but it is not going to be a hotel. The rooms will be available for events, not for sleeping accomodations. I think the name came from the original (I don't know if they went with this in the end) to create a downstairs bar styled after a grand hotel from the 1940s. You can get American food down the street at the Argonaut. Each of these Englert associated places is meant to have a distinct personality with distict foods (to offer a variety of different experiences on H Street).
