Richard's got a bit of rant on the controversial project proposed for the 600 block of H Street & mediocre architecture in general.

What about my outburst at one of the H St. Streetscape and Transportation Study meetings back in 2003?:

"Urban brutalist faux shopping mall aesthetic!"

Or "When you ask for nothing that's what you get. When you ask for the world, you don't get it, but you get a lot more than nothing."

Or last night at the NoMa hearing:

"Developers want the quid, but not the pro quo."

Or earlier this week at the Comp Plan hearing:

"In the 1960s, remember the movie "The Graduate" and what they told Benjamin? One word Benjamin, 'plastics.'

In all that I've heard today, I have two words for you: L'Enfant! McMillan..."

Hmm, maybe I need to do a "best of"
