This fire started because a roofing crew putting a new rubber roof on the building left the roof too hot too late in the day. As many of the buildings in our area have rubber roofs, please make sure your contractors are neat and tidy and are careful with propane torches. I called this fire in when I saw the smoke - there were no flames at that point. Within 10 minutes the building was engulfed. Shame.
here i was constructing elaborate conspiracy theories about land-grabbing arson schemes and along comes anonymous @ 3:28 with a boring old rubber roof story. sigh.
