Sidamo's a bit out of my way, but I buy my lattes there on the weekends as a small way of supporting a quality business on H street. The owners are really warm and welcoming people.
In other H street news, I noticed that 1387 H St. is for sale for $749,900 on Ziprealty (reduced from 900k). It's an interesting property - end unit on the block (same block as the Atlas). It's also quite deep - a five car garage conveys with the property. The building is boarded up and most likely needs a lot of work. It's got potential, though.
Inked, just a head's up--the Washington Post magazine (or w/e style section) is doing a piece on Sidamo's.
The writer called to interview me, and I focused on Kenfe & Mimi being true pioneers on the west end of H Street, how great they and the business is for the neighborhood, and how they are helping new businesses coming to the area (specific example is Pap & Petey's--Sidamo may help with their food at first if the P&P kitchen is not fully functional at opening).
It sounds like the type of article that will help people across DC read positive things about H Street.
Great news Alan. Sidamo is well deserving of good press. Your comment also highlights the fact that many business owners around here work hard to help each other out and really provide a good support network, which i think is very cool.

(Yoda voice) The GOG are wise. Insight have they.
Sidamo's closer, but SOVA has that big screen in the back.... Ah, to have choices:)
