DCmud Burnham Place Architect Named

DCmud reports that Akridge has named Shalom Baranes Associates as the architect for Burnham Place at Union Station.

This is good - especially building "an arcade that will connect Union Station to H street." What does this mean? Of course I expect to be dead before its completed in 2079.

it's supposed to commence in 2010.
give it four years after that to really gather interest.

fenty needs to show some progress on this.. just like poplar point, so it might just get started as scheduled.

This is a MASSIVE development, much bigger than pretty much anything else planned for the area. I really hope we get some input on how it looks. It would really suck to have a big giant square blob stuck there. This location demands some actual detailed and interesting architecture.

I'm still pushing for my giant 'H' atop or built into one of these large new developments. It'd be quite the icon.
