I have to admit that I've never been to the Argo, but knowing that they have Dogfish on tap will make this a weekend spot for sure.
Nicely done, Scott - Abita Amber is a very fine addition. Speaking of NOLA and Mardi Gras, the time draws near... be sure Lee keeps a couple cold ones upstairs. Cheers!
I'm very excited for the addition of the DFH beer!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that starting this Monday 1/21/08, The Argo will be offering half-priced bottles of wine with dinner.
And, for the next three Mondays, we will be having wine tastings starting at 7:00 pm.
Also, starting tonight, Wednesday nights are Kids Nights!! All children under 12 eat free with purchase of sandwich or entree.

Excellent work Argo.
Excellent choices for draft! Definitely will get me there more.
Great additions! I'm really looking forward to coming by and trying some of these.
Any word on trivia/Quizzo, Scott?
Dogfish Head! Woo hoo! I'm so happy to see good, local beers featured.
Wine tasting is great, but how about a beer tasting in the coming months?
hey, 7th and h--the red and the black (a new orleans themed bar) has been offering abita amber and turbo since they opened--so that particular brew is not a new occurrence on h street

thanks, i'm well aware the red & the black serves amber and turbodog - and it's not like one can't already buy either at one's local deli at 7th and F (Adam's Market). Heck, Family Liquor might soon be selling Abita...they're already selling Stella, Pilsner, and Peroni on the cheap. Just glad that Argo is offering amber now, cause i typically prefer to hang there rather than red and black - i'd be hard-pressed to call it a NOLA-themed bar. The most NOLA-esque feature might well be the pressed tin and the tile in the men's room, cause the red beans and rice and the mufellatta aren't even close.
but to the red and black's credit, they did a good job at modeling the place after d.b.a.
Dogfish Head is the shiznit!! I had some of their world wide stout at a beer tasting and at 18% alch, it was smooth!
