Starting February 13th NAPA will hold wine tastings each Wednesday night in their bar area from 5-7pm. Because 5-7 is also their happy hour you'll be able to take advantage of their drink and tapas specials. Here's how the bartender Scott describes the tapas deal:
For happy hour we have $10 dollar pairings of a happy hour tapas plate (such as shrimp, feta, artichokes and tomato pizza) and a drink (such as a house glasses of wine, beer, margaritas, martinis and mojitos)!
From 5-7 NAPA also serves its pre-theater dinner menu.

I'd love to do this, but those hours are impossible. They should at least extend to 8pm.
It would give them an edge over other happy hours and get some butts in seats while they're trying to get known.

I fully agree. I leave work around 6:30 and get home maybe at 7pm. Looks like another good idea of a happy hour I will miss.

I think the whole point of happy hour at restaurants is to get people in when there are not many other customers, which is usually between 5 and 7pm.
If they're getting enough traffic between 7 and 8, then I wouldn't blame them for ending their specials at 7.
But if it gets more people to check the place out and become regulars, why not run the specials to 8? I know I'd be more able to check them out that way, and I do prefer to get a feel for a place before I commit to a full meal.
Nate's idea is interesting. I haven't been to the happy hour either because I don't get home until after 7. If it went until 8, I would be more likely to go during the week.
