5d units on scene of 1300 blk of Staple ST NE for an adult male shot multiple times.. there is no lookout and will be pending an investigation.. the victim is being transported to hospital and anyone with information please call us at 1888 919 crime

The police have now released information that the shooting on Staples occurred inside a home and the parties present in the home at the time of the shooting are refusing to provide the police with information.
There was also a shooting [minor injury] on Montello Monday. That report appears below. Shotspotter is new technology that can pinpoint the exact location of gunfire and alert the police.

5d units were given a SHOTSPOTTER announcement in the 1700 blk of Montello AVe NE - upon arrival they located an adult male shot in the hand.. he has not provided information or motive and is being taken to the hospital..anyone with information please contact us at 1 888 919 CRIME

I thought I heard shots last night. And just 15 minutes before my wife was out walking the dog not even a block from this. Fantastic.
yeah, I was in the basement and head one of the shots. Later my wife pointed out that multiple cop cars and the mobile crime lab were on the scene. I took a pic but don't have it on line yet.

Poo Poo, you mean you don't read Frozen Tropics from London? And yes, delightful police news. Always wonderful when we have a full range of injuries/homicides. Let's hope for some closings on these cases. And may all the neighbors of shootings like the one on Staples have very thick walls. My dear friend Robby's poor air conditioner still sports a bullet wound from when one came through the front window, went all the way to the rear of the house, and penetrated the unit [which still cools just fine]. Luckily my own home lacks such violent charm. Although I did one unearth [while digging on my back alley lot] an unfired bullet and a very jagged steak knife [which I now use as a letter opener].
Judging from the condition of the items they were long buried [and under roughly 8 inches of earth]. I think someone emptied his pockets.
