ABC7: Car Lot Shut Down
ABC7 reports on police and EPA operations that have shut down a Bladensburg Road used car lot for violations ranging from the pouring of motor oil down storm drains, to theft of electricity. This lot had previously been raided for various other criminal offenses and civil violations. This lot is located on Bladensburg Road [Carver Terrace side] near Mt. Olivet.

Good riddance. Way to go Fenty! You just moved up a notch in my book. If these scumbags come knocking on my window for change I'll dump motor oil on them.
I can't figure out why there are so many used car lots in that area. Who in their right mind wants to buy a used car in the ghetto from sleazy immigrants?
I wish Abdo would hurry up and get the ball rolling over on NY ave and bladensburg road (arbor place). Once that's underway, then that strip where the car lot was raided will quickly be bought out by investors. Until then, it's just going to sit there and become a drug/prostituion haven
The dealers had a different story. They insisted they were given no due process and this was all done because Mayor Fenty walked through the area last month and didn't like the place.
All you newcomers with your fancy ways--a lot of folks rely on illegal temp tags to avoid paying registration and inspection fees.
If you don't like crazed Nigerian scam artists illegally tapping power mains, and dumping gallon after gallon of used motor oil directly into the river, move to Grand Rapids.
What's next? Shutting down Ben's Chili Bowl?

If there are any dissenters about this, just remember that Fenty's been trying to get rid of these "dealerships" since he was on the Council. This isn't anything new for him. I hope this continues
