H Street Farmers Market Tomorrow
When: Saturday 9am-12pm, Where: 625 H Street What: A producers only market selling a variety of products including fruits, vaggies, breads, cheeses, meets, sweets, flowers, and much more.
Compeletely off topic. I stopped by the new bar/club/lounge that is opening on 5th and Morse ST NE in the Market. Opening night is tonight. I spoke with the manager and toured the place. The website for the place is www.laylaloungedc.com . It looks like a upscale lounge with the typical bottle service, etc. Has a Mediterranean decor, its really nice actually. They are looking for the international type crowd, similar to Ibiza, Voodoo lounge, eyebar etc.
I checked out the H street Farmer's market last weekend thanks to your postings - I was definitely impressed, and was happy with their selection. It doesn't rival Eastern Market, but it doesn't need to. I think the trick is to get there early in order to get the best selection. I showed up just at 12pm and was happy to find that they still had plenty left and were not closing up yet. My only wish is that they were out on Sundays, too!
