TOPIC: CLASS B LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION- TRINIDAD MARKET AND DELI
The owner of the Trinidad Market and Deli [located on the corner of Florida and Trinidad] will present his proposal to apply for a Class B liquor license [beer and wine only]. The community will be able to ask him any questions, and we will then vote on whether to support, or oppose the application.
Questions or comments can be directed to Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Elise Bernard at 202-631-8254 or inked78@hotmail.com

I am in 6A but this should be opposed. We have plenty of places to buy liquor around here. The owner should put more effort into stocking other items which are needed from a grocery store.

How do you know whether you live in 5B08? Check out this Map on Trinidad-DC.org, which shows all of Trinidad's SMD's and who the Commissioner is.
While strolling (I think) along Orren St, 1200 block, we saw a house with an entire third floor added to it...was that properly permitted, etc? It's interesting that that could be done.
We have plenty of people here that don't follow the rules. I think we need to get DCRA more involved in Trinidad. We also however need to continue fighting places like the Trinidad market which only exist to bring the neighborhood down. It will be a beautiful day when the other stores go out of business too. We need a singles ban in ward 5.
Rob, I know the house that you mean. They did have some permits in the window, but at the time I tried to check them out I couldn't get close enough [front porch removed] to read the permits.
But I will point out that DCRA did somehow [but never should have] issue a permit to the assbag who constructed that giant half built condo building on Morse.
