Capital Spice offers a sneak peak inside Italian delicatessen and grocery Taylor. Taylor is located at 1116 H Street, and if all goes well it could open very shortly.

Thanks for the link, Inked!
Just to clarify - the shop will be called Taylor (which is Casey's middle name).
Off-topic, but food related! Ate at Tropicana last night because Dr G's and Sticky Rice both had long waits. Awesome food, with great service! And we were in and out before we would have been seated at the other places.
Capitalspice, thanks. I had also just been reading emails regarding the owner of two local BP stations. His name is also Casey [the stations being Casey I and Casey II], so I really had Casey on the brain.
It's looking like this will be more of a sandwich place and less of a market. I'm happy the place is coming, definitely; but I was hoping I wouldn't have to keep driving to Virginia for guanciale and speck. Oh well. Decent sandwiches will definitely get my business.
Pipe down with your guanciale and speck nonsense. Let the business get off the ground before raising expectations. Expectations that I would venture to guess, based on knowing lots of big eaters that live off H Street, are unrealistic.
Good lord, Mr. Anonymous, I don't know how I could have made it any more clear that I'm happy the place is opening and looking forward to giving it my business. Jesus Christ.
u coulda made it more clear by skipping over teh guanciale and speck shit that u posted last time. nobody cares about it but u dood. va beckons, foodguy!
annonymous, please allow us at Liquid Lounge and Restaurant the same courtesy as Taylors. We have great expectations and want to deliver a top notch product for the neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods to take notice and say..."H street has something special to offer".
excuse the skepticism, liquid, but i think it's justified at this point. we first heard about your liquid concept years ago when your liquor license first came before the abl. as far as anyone can tell, there has been zero execution on the plan since then (other than recently offering up a menu to inked for this blog). taylor, on the other hand, has stepped up and executed big time. word is the shop will be open within weeks. i know it's hard opening a new business and all that, but you can't expect to get the same love as taylor. now if you're not getting the same love as other yet-to-break-ground concepts like that new bar that is supposed to go into the north side of the 1100 block, i'll be the first one to step up and defend you. best of luck to you in getting liquid off the ground.
Thank you all for your comments and concerns. Like I have said in previous notes, I basically wanted to respond and or correct info that was out there about us/me and the projects we are working on. Liquid will be putting up notice of our up coming opening time frame and contact info. Our location is 914 H NE. We are finalizing the facade drawings and the permit submittals. We will be starting construction soon and will notify all concerned parties. If anyone wants to speak to me directly please feel free to contact me directly at cheffoots@aol.com. There I will leave direct numbers if you want to speak to me one on one. Thanks

SO excited for you guys to open! Don't want to have to go all the way to South Philly for my fix anymore ...

i'm giving Liquid my vote of confidence. eh.... if they make it.
it's like the communal veggie market. great ideas, but no place to establish themselves.
the idea is great, but we all have great ideas...
good luck to all, and, as sage advice.... keep your day jobs.
that's all.
