Chef Teddy Folkman is a busy guy these days. Not only is he the Executive Chef at Granville's and lending a hand at the Country Club, apparently he has also just been named Executive Chef at the Capitol Lounge.
Folkman is appearing in the series the Next Food Network Star. Join the official viewing party at the Argonaut each Sunday at 9pm. Hell, you can even sit exactly where Teddy was standing when he defeated Bobby Flay in the Throwdown.

I don't know a thing about the restaurant business, but is possible to truly be the executive chef at several locations?
or is this just a business play on his growing popularity?
Yeah. I thought a chef cooked food. But lots of "chefs" have multiple restaurants.
I guess they just come up with a recipe and teach people how to cook it in their absence. I suppose even if a chef has one restaurant, he couldnt be there ALL the time
There are really good definitions for chef positions on wikipedia.
A chef is many things in a restaurant. A chef creates the menu, writes recipes, plans daily prep, hires staff, and more. Unless an executive chef plans to be at the restaurant at all times, in order to be successful, a restaurant must run efficiently without him/her.
Teddy is still present at all his projects on H Street while working at Capitol Lounge.
Yeah except I wrote that wikipedia page and I have no idea what I am talking about.

Why should one wiki page be any different than the others?
The food at Granville can best be described as inconsistent, mussels so small, most of the time overcooked, fries are soggy sometimes. So is the food at H Street CC, maybe even mediocre. Just because the food is "designed" by Ted or Ann Cashion, without real talent to watch the execution night in night out, it's crap. I'm glad that Ted brought so much press to H street, but I feel like we're getting the shortend of the stick here. And what's up with the heavy douchbag Bridge and Tunnel population at HSCC on the weekend? Yike...
Why would Teddy allow another restaurant to serve his signature dish? Is this normal? I read Cap Lounge will be serving the mussels formag bleu as well.
