Examiner: Farmers Markets Tackle Hunger

The Examiner reports on how farmers markets, including the one on H Street, are helping low income shoppers stretch their food dollars. The market on H Street participates in a double dollars program that helps ensure shoppers spending SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) coupons walk away with extra fruit and veggies.
