Sign is Up @Dangerously Delicious
Loyal reader Moravsky Vrabec (Flickr name), who has been pie stalking Dangerously Delicious (1339 H Street), says the sign is up, and sets the countdown to about a week for baked sweet and savory goodness.
there is a sign up about a liquor license being pursued by a business a few doors down from taylor. it's billed as an asian restaurant that will feature karaoke. i was with company, so i didn't linger too long reading the entire description, but that's the gist.
thoughts? the building it will be in has been somewhat renovated for some time, but has stayed vacant. i'm optimistic
I pre-ordered the Baltimore Bomb (they made one for me even though it wasn't offered as one of the pies available for pre-order) and brought it home for Thanksgiving! It was a huge hit! I had family members say that they will be requesting that I mail them one straight to their house! Sooo good!
The storefront looks really good. The shabby chic that many of the current businesses seem very happy to embrace (or at least not combat)does a disservice to the quality of those establishments and the neighborhood, but I hope attention to outward appearance gets a nudge in the right direction by places like this going in and paying attention to looking nice day and night rather than just being good at serving good food and drink.
I agree....with all the new resturants opening up on H street. The facade place a big part in whether people will patronze the establishment.Great job Pie man. Will there be seating or just carry out ?
Guys, please be polite. Remember that these people are your neighbors. I ask also that anonymous users leave some kind of tag [e.g. big green cat] for the sake of being able to follow a thread. Be respectful and have fun.
