Alley Off Bladensburg
I find myself spending surprisingly large amounts of time in alley ways. This particular shot is from a walk I took with a friend one Saturday. This is just west of Bladensburg Road.

I have been wanting to start a blog or something on this very topic but then I realize it would be a lot of work.
I know the feeling my daughter and I just purchase a home in the Trinidad area I was so surprise how the alley and street are so dirty. My daughter and I been calling and sending email to Councilmember Thomas and calling the 311 number as well ….this has been three weeks now. I will start taking picture as well and sending it to Councilmember Thomas office he seem to not care about this area. That liquor store on Bladensburg Ave need to be close Rose Liquor has to go I hope when the Street car start I hope some kind of way it will close down it is bad for the community. The trash from that store is unbelievable beer can on every block in Trinidad. I would like Councilmember Thomas to pass a law about that Liquor Store where the store cannot sale single beer anymore in Ward 5. In Ward 4 and Ward 1 you cannot buy single beer. I will be going to the ANC mtg as well. The Trinidad area needs a lot of TLC
If you want your street clean the best thing to do is clean it yourself. I pick up the trash in front of my house and in the alley at least once a week. You might not think so, but people see you doing this and they might stop trashing your street. Since I bought my place in Trinidad there is gradually less and less trash.
And I don't see anything wrong with Rose's, they seem to be running an honest business. If it were to close the beer cans would just come from somewhere else
