Digital Capital Week on H Street

I got this from the Office of Planning. As you can see, the R. L. Christian Library space plays a role here:

Digital Capital Week and H Street Pop-up Lab
Digital Capital Week, the District’s first-ever digital arts and technology festival, will take place June 11 – June 20, 2010. Residents and community leaders are encourage to participate. The festival will feature workshops, hands-on projects and networking. It will bring activity to various neighborhoods, support small business development and entrepreneurship, and create more supportive infrastructure for innovation and idea-sharing. H Street residents can get involved in a number of ways, including attending festival events and proposing activities for a pop-up lab at the R.L. Christian Library at 1300 H Street. The pop-up lab is intended to serve as a hub where the community and festival attendees can collaborate and work on digital arts and technology projects, including those that support H Street revitalization and design. You can provide suggestions on activities for the pop-up lab by contacting the DC Office of Planning: Jennifer Hughes (Jennifer.Hughes@dc.gov) or Sakina Khan (Sakina.Khan@dc.gov), or at 202 442-7600. Please provide feedback by May 28. And, to learn more about the overall festival and to sign up for events, please visit the following website: http://www.digitalcapitalweek.org/2010/05/dcweek-summary-the-one-post-you-need-to-read/.

These folks are really serious aren't they? I mean giving us so much notice and all...

Sure they're serious.
They want the community to give up their Saturday to work for free for the city and a for-profit company, to clean up a neglected city-owned facility so other people can use it for a few days.
How dumb do they think we are?
