In order for your name to appear on the ballot you must turn in your nominating petition on time, and it must have 25 valid signatures from registered voters in your SMD. Are there any sites where one can see what these people are saying they're going to do if elected? I mean it is just a neighborhood position - but it's still an elected one. What type of campaigning goes on other than putting your name on a petition?
The keeper of Congress Heights on the Rise has said she'll allow candidates to send her platform statements to post. I'm happy to do the same for candidates in ANCs 5B, 6A, and 6C. There are also various forums and debates. Many candidates also circulate flyers, and/or go door to door. Occasionally a candidate will set up a website. It really just depends.
How does one determine which ANC seat they're running for? Like, in 6A, there are eight members. Can anyone in 6A run for 6A02, 6A03, etc.? How do you decide which seat to file for?
