Ate here last night with my wife. Food was really, really good. Had the tacos, empanada and plantains w/beans and rice. Drinks were very good and reasonably priced. The music was great too. HIGHLY recommend it.
the homemade tortillas really make the tacos great. for those interested, you can by a bag of Maseca and make your own. you might never eat store-bought tortillas again. easy to make: mix with water, make a ball, flatten it, throw on pan for a couple minutes
Patrons are mixed. When I went there was a table with lesbians; a table with gay guys; a table with presumably straight guys; a table with four presumably heterosexuals. There were blacks, whites and latinos. Music was great and food was delicious. It was very welcoming. Now that's my type of bar.
