Lots of news from the Argonaut today. The insurance companies finally approved the estimate, and so the Argo hopes to start construction in about two weeks. Check out their blog to get more details about the planned indoor/outdoor bar (now on the other end of the restaurant), and expanded outdoor space. Please recall that the Argo is open upstairs and on the patio. Did you enjoy the Fat Face Bar-B-Q for the Argo's 5th birthday celebration? Well, they'll be joining the Argo every Sunday and serving up some very tasty fare. The Argo is looking for other food trucks with whom to partner while they rebuild the kitchen. They are also asking for rum recommendations.

"Ron Pampero Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva" is the best rum I've ever ever tasted, in front of or behind a bar. I don't drink liquor straight in general, but this little gift from the Venezuelan gods is perfect alone.
gotta have some Appleton reserve, Barbancourt, Goslings on the rum menu. congrats to the argo family for clearing the insurance hurdles, looking forward to the magical remodel, just don't get tooo fancy and lose the argo charm ;)
