Horses
I've seen these guys around Trinidad and the Hill, but this was the first time I spotted them on H Street. I was with a friend (and without my camera). My friend snapped this photo.

I saw a bunch of these guys at Benning and Minnesota Av yesterday. The horses were really sweating, and some some of the horses were clearly not comfortable in traffic. They decided to go down a sidewalk in the East River shopping center to terrify a few people too. They really think that they are some kind of cowboys,but really what a bunch of ass wipes
I've ridden horses for 15 years and this can be called reckless behavior at best. First, you can tell they don't actually have any training in riding from this photo. Second, they're not wearing helmets, which is a huge no-no in any discipline. Third, THEY'RE RIDING IN CITY STREETS. Horses and cars do NOT mix, especially in urban environments; it is just unsafe. Buses, motorcycles, buses and taxis are not living things, and are (hypothetically) under complete control of their drivers. Not so with live animals (duh - looking at you, Anonymous 9:39pm). Horses also have large blind spots directly in front of them and directly behind them and can spook easily; there's a reason mounted police officers go through special training with their horses to get them accustomed to urban landscapes.
What ARE the laws on this, anyhow? Does anyone know?

I would be reluctant to make a generalization based on most (if not all) photographs.

where the hell do they stable those horses? And arent there laws against riding a horse on a public street? I mean who does that?! This isnt Montana!
The bicyclists, motorcycles, buses, taxis, and many of the pedestrians cause more of a public nuisance.
Chill out. It's just a horse.
They stable them in PG county, Upper Malbro I believe.
Again, if it was a blonde chick riding the horse, it would've been "so hip and cool on H Street!"...
Personally, i never got the hot chick and the horse thing.
