Seriously, VERY close
You may have noticed that the Red Palace event on my
Got (Halloween) Plans? post now says
it's canceled back on. Here's the deal, they just a have to do a couple of more things like put fire resistant paint on a beam, or two. But, this being DC, it can take a while to get inspectors to come through. So...the relaunch is slightly delayed. Basically, they've canceled the October, and early November, shows that were scheduled. That sucks, but both
Palace of Wonders and
Red and the Black are open downstairs. Hell, as of last update, a few events are back on, and will be held on the downstairs Palace of Wonders Stage. Stop by and grouse with the bartenders over the headaches of opening/running a business in the District. 1210 and 1212 H Street.

They may still be able to pursue 3rd party inspections for a relatively cheap fee they are able to make it within days rather than the several weeks DC can. Relying on DCRA for timely inspectors is like nailing your foot to the ground and trying to walk in a straight line.
Awesome. They ripped out the wall and put in that massive support beam. That'll be interesting to see.
Yeah, 3rd party inspections sound cool...I've done that in my house. Of course it shouldn't come to that...the city should provide inspections on a timely basis.
