DC NoMA: Italian Deli Replaces Pound

The blog DC NoMA announces that Italian deli A-Deli will open a location in the former Pound Coffee space at 1300 Second Street NE. This will be the second location for the Herndon based deli that specializes in hoagies and cheese steaks. Just for reference sake, this location is 0.4 miles from A. Litteri , just over a mile from the two closest Taylor Gourmet locations, and just over a mile from Philadelphia Water Ice Factory.

Great news! It looks like their other location, in Herndon, serves wine and beer and stays open until 9 pm. It would great if they could be a dinner option for the neighborhood.

rumpelstiskin,
Neither is Philadelphia Water Ice. Taylor specializes in Philadelphia style Italian hoagies. A-Deli specializes in hoagies. Just saying.

A-Deli will not be selling alcohol in their NoMa location; no word on how late they plan to stay open yet, but we are always pushing for more dinner options!

Too bad they're not planning on a liquor license... I know the neighborhood would definitely support their ABRA application.
