this is the place next to horace and dickies that used to be a wig shop, no?
good to see it get some occupancy.
i haven't even been to souk yet, but i guess they're doing well enough to open a second business on the same block. cool.
CT, not CR. So although they talk about food, they plan to do most of their business with alcohol?
Not a complaint -- just making sure I understand.
The owner should go check the Trade Name Registrations down at DCRA. He might have a conflict with Michel Richard's Central on PA Ave, NW.

Law suit waiting to happen? How could he not be aware of this?

Stupidity is contagious, especially in the restaurant business.
A quick look on DCRA's website and it looks like Central hasn't been claimed by anyone yet. The owner might want to apply for that just in case.
Hey Anonymous,
A lot of the best restaurants on H Street have CT licenses. The DC laws make it much more confusing to operate under a CR.
I think the official name of the downtown one is actually "Central Michel Richard" -- so in that case, it wouldn't be an issue.
I hear this new joint will feature an executive chef named Michelle Richards.
Oboe FTW
the plan to do more alchohol business for sure
