Photos From Community Day at Joe Cole
Better late than never, right? Here are a few photos from Community Day at Joe Cole Community Center. The event wasn't well publicized, so turnout was small. I thought people might be interested in the beautiful new park. This is actually a fountain
I love the new park, it's absolutely beautiful, and my 3-year-old had a great time there on Thursday, but... we went again today, to show the grandparents from Indiana what a great park we had in our neighborhood... and some kids showed up and started breaking bottles and turning over trash cans... I told them I was calling the cops and when they realized I was ACTUALLY calling the cops they ran off... but it took the 911 operator five times of me telling her "Joseph Cole park, Morse and Montello NE!!" to finally figure out where I was calling from. I was worried the kids' friends would show up before the police, so we left. Guess I won't be going there alone with my daughter any time soon...

It's great to finally have this! Here's hoping people respect it, and we can keep it maintained!
is that a red rover field?
Looks pretty sweet. I'm looking forward to the new Rosedale Rec Center.
