With the new history trail you'll be able to travel further back in time than this 2005 photo
The Washington Post reports on the new history trail coming to H Street. This trail results from the tireless efforts of many people, including a number of neighborhood residents who have spent countless hours researching and documenting the history of the H Street Corridor. It's set to open in the spring, and I promise it will be far more accurate than what this
2008 April Fools Day post suggests.

Funny that it doesn't go a block out of the way to Linden Court - as one of the only remaining industrial alleys in the city, I would think that would be an interesting thing to show off.
This runs right in front of my house. I plan on sitting outside, drinking a cold PBR and hooting/hollering at passersby. Culture. I haz it.
after swinging by the intersection of 8th and H, those on the tour needing to relieve themselves can use the public facilities in the alley behind the crown fried chicken/family liquor block. give it a try. just try not to breathe too deeply. better yet, bring some smelling salts. it's a well-known public cesspool that MPD cares to do nothing about even after years of begging at PSA meetings and a couple of hundred emails and public works requests.
@damn, i gotta go right now said...
refer to it as "performance art" with perpetually showings.
The eastbound sidewalk on Florida is going to be mighty treacherous sledding. Hope it freaks some people out.
Hey! There's nothing wrong with Florida eastbound! I can't wait go hear what they say down that stretch :-) .
