The Tubman-Mahan Gallery (6:30pm to 8:30pm)
The gallery’s annual exhibition of women artist titled Making HerStory 7: the Journey of Creative Spirits, brings together 23 women artists. The group show will show a variety of mediums and styles. For more information about this exhibition including a list of artists, click here .

The Brentwood Arts Exchange (Talk begins at 3pm)
Join Lillian Thomas Burwell as she discusses her three-dimensional wall compositions and sculptural installations which blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture. The application of color for its expressive potential is also a feature of Lillian’s work and is a style artists in the DC region have long been known. For more information, click here.

Hand Picked is a selection of Washington, DC area artists who work in a range of mediums from paper to wet plate photographs. Curator Grayson Heck, has grouped together artists who, despite working in different mediums, have autochthonously developed a common style. For more information about each artist, click here .

The Fridge (5pm to 9pm)
Local artist Adam Dwight guest curates KING ME: Studies in the Uncivilized World, a multimedia exhibition examining symbols of power through art.
