ABC7 is reporting that MPD has just announced the arrest of Steven Vondell Williams (46) in the murder of Grace Deli owner
June Lim (Hae Soon Lim). Mrs. Lim was 64 years old, and was shot in the next during what appeared to be an early morning (before the deli opened) robbery. She was
killed June 14th. There had been no new information about the case in recent months, so this news of an arrest is terrific. Mr. Williams was
first publicly linked to the crime scene back in August when his DNA was discovered on a gun holster left at the scene.

Apparently I missed this recent (Nov 21st)
Fox 5 report indicating that MPD had obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. Williams. Mr. Williams is currently in Federal prison for an unrelated matter.

I hope they hang him.
I hope he gets a fair trial and, if guilty, is hanged.
already in federal prison when indicted...enough said.
It'll be interesting to see what happens here. Pretty rare for a dirtbag to use a holster - let alone leave it behind. Could be a set-up.
Thugs usually go for mexican carry - looks da bidness.
a set up? assholes like this dont have enemies that possess the interest or intelligence for the
nuances of a set up. btw, the killer's DNA was found on the cash register.
I know everyone is very concerned here, so let me be the first to say *relax* -- Phil Mendelson will have the poor misunderstood young man back out as soon as possible.
And thanks to Marion Barry, we won't be able to inquire about this man's criminal past if he's convicted.

This is unbelievably great news, obviously. Good job MPD.
I don't see what the past two posts have to do with this arrest.
it appears a Steven Williams born in 1967 did a stretch for felony drugs and bail violation, in 92.
he must have other record issues if he was wanted for a parole violation when this happened.
I think the police have probably enough to make a case for Robbery and Felony Murder. They can't prove he pulled the trigger, but they can prove he went to rob this woman and that she ended up dead consistent with that robbery.
If he pleas out he may get 15 to 30 with a parole eligibility in 15 years.
