Important DDOT Meeting on the Future of Florida Ave
DDOT is holding a very important meeting about the future of Florida Avenue next Wednesday. They are looking at safety, bike use, pedestrian use, and car use, as well as streetscape plans. If you live/travel on, or near, Florida Avenue you should probably try to hit this meeting. Ditto if you own a business on Florida. There will, of course, be an ASL interpreter.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is hosting the first of three public meetings to guide the Florida Avenue Multimodal Transportation Study. Members of the community are encouraged to attend this meeting to discuss the future of Florida Avenue NE from New York Avenue to H Street and Benning Road. The study will evaluate traffic safety, streetscape, and operational enhancements to improve this important corridor.
What: Florida Avenue Multimodal Transportation Study - Public Meeting
When: Wednesday, June 19, 2013 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
