Found: Black & White Cat
A reader writes in regarding a found cat:
We came home tonight and found a mostly black cat with a little white on it. I am not sure if it is a male or female cat, but appears to be under a year old. The cat is very friendly and vocal, purring and happy noises. We put out some water for it, and two helpings of tuna. He/she ate up both helpings. We also sat out some bedding material for it, not sure if it will take. Tonight and tomorrow are supposed to be mild. If needed, I have a large have a heart trap that I can try and trap it in order for the rightful pet parents to come get it. I will not act upon that unless requested.

Probably a stray. There are like 50 stray cats in the alley behind my house. Trinidad is stray cat heaven.
Mmm...a helping of tuna.
Where is this cat?
he looks so smart.
The cat is at the corner of 6th and I streets NE. But has gone up and down 6th. Super nice cat.
I'm calling animal control.
if you take him over to Atlas Vet tomorrow
they may be able to see if he has a chip.
He seems very tame and friendly, like he's been lost or abandoned, I hope he finds a home or his people
This cat has also made an appearance in the Capitol Hill North Neighborhood Facebook page. I saw her Saturday moseying around near I and 6th.

Ok, so the person who found this stray cat has gotten it posted here, posted it on the Capitol Hill North Facebook page, and spammed the neighborhood list server about 5 times about it.
There are 20 cats like this within a block. Either adopt it or let it go. No one is looking for it.
Here here! Cat ladies be crazy!
maybe he was abandoned.
people move and leave their cats behind,
he seems like a people cat, not an alley cat.
Update on the cat: She is going to Homeward Trails tomorrow and will find a loving home soon!
How do you know she will find a loving home? Basically sounds like she's going to the shelter and then ....who knows.
9:18,
Homeward Trails isn't a shelter. It's a foster based organization.
We have about a dozen stray cats on A NE, if anyone wants one, just come by anytime and scoop one up.
