Chupacabra is Back
Chupacabra (822 H Street) has awakened from its winter hibernation and is ready to serve you all manner of fresh Latin fare. All seating is outdoors, but they have a covered patio so there's no need to fear a little light rain. They also have outdoor heaters.
Look for all your favorite menu items (tacos, arepas, cubanos), as well as some new offerings (including a hot soup or two that will chase away any lingering chill). Early spring hours are 11:30am to 10pm Thursday-Sunday. Once the temperature warms up a bit (maybe mid-April) they'll expand to full operating hours/days. In addition to the Jarritos pictured above, they also offer a variety of other beverages (including beer and margaritas). Follow them on Twitter @ChupacabraDC for updates.

Do these guys own their building without a mortgage? How can they afford to shut down business for that long?

I love this place. Prices are reasonable for H st
What are you people talking about regarding high prices? I was a Sol Mexican Grill the other night and Sol is way more expensive than Chupacabra. Check your facts people!
