Toki & One Eight Distilling Present Toki on Okie Cherry Blossom Social
Looking to celebrate the cherry blossoms, but can't take the tourist hoards? Snag a ticket to the Toki on Okie Dine and Drink Cherry Blossom Social and you can avoid the out of town crowd. It'll be peak bloom on Okie Street April 9th (7-10pm) when Toki on Okie unites One Eight Distilling (1135 Okie Street) and Toki Underground's (2nd floor of 1234 H Street) chef Erik Bruner-Yang.
The event offers guests a chance to wander the recently opened Ivy City distillery while enjoying favorites from Toki Underground's menu paired with cherry blossom inspired cocktails highlighting One Eight Distilling's District Made Vodka and Rock Creek White Whiskey.
Tickets will run you $20 (plus a small transaction fee) and they include the first plate and first cocktail. “It’s inspiring to be distilling during cherry blossom season, and we're delighted to pair up with the dynamite team at Toki Underground” said One Eight Distilling co-founder and CEO Sandy Wood. “We’re thrilled to showcase our spirits alongside Erik’s excellent food.”
By the way, Bruner-Yang was recently named as a finalist for a James Beard Award in the category of Rising Star Chef.
This event is Thursday April 9th, 7-10pm. It limited to patrons 21 and over (valid ID required). It will be held at the distillery (1135 Okie Street).
