FONA Garden Fair & Plant Sale Coming Up
The National Arboretum is a great place to visit anytime. Right now it's particularly exciting because bald eagles are nesting there for the first time in 70 years. If you haven't been recently, it's probably time to go again. I'm excited to have reserved my space in an upcoming Full Moon Hike, but they have a ton of events that you should definitely investigate.
It's also almost time again for the Friends of the National Arboretum annual FONA Garden Fair and Plant sale. Plant offerings will include rare and hard to find selections, as well as standards and favorites. Experts will be on-site to help you select the perfect plant for that tricky spot in your yard. Vendors accept cash, and many accept credit cards too.
The Garden Fair and Plant Sale is held in late April:
Friday April 24
10am-1pm – Members Only Hours. Members get first shot at the offerings. You can join online.
1pm-4pm – Garden Fair and Plant Sale opens to the public.

Saturday April 25
9am-4pm – Garden Fair and Plant Sale is open to the public. Enjoy music from the Washington Revels and be sure to take the time to explore the Arboretum Collections, they are beautiful this time of year.
