It's opening day for the Capital Fringe Festival.
Capital Fringe (1358 Florida Avenue) is headquartered in Trinidad, but the Festival shows are spread around the District (LOOK a
free shuttle to help you get around). They have a range of shows, and I highly recommend seeing at least a few.
DCist has a put together a handy guide, and you will also want to take a gander at
Washington City Paper's Fringe Worthy blog. Seriously, the Festival includes a
ton of shows!

Pretty excited for this! Are there any special discounts for people in the neighborhood?
5:26,
I'm not aware of any locals discounts, but they do have some free events. There is no cover for tonight's opening party that I believe starts at 8:30pm.
5:26,
My bad. The party starts at 7:30 tonight.
