News in Brief: Union Arts Celebrates Malcolm X, WBJ on Turning Natural, & Sticky Rice Turns 8

Time Out includes One Eight Distilling (1135 Okie Street) on a list of (eight) Best New Distilleries in the World.

Union Arts (411 New York Avenue) hosts a Malcolm X Birthday Concert & Lecture Saturday May 21st at 4pm. The YahYah Majid Trio will play, and Baba Zak A. Kondo will give a lecture on the life and death of Malcolm X. $10 suggested donation. Patrons of all ages are welcome at this event.



The Washington Business Journal interviews the owner of Turning Natural, a new juice bar coming to 1380 H Street.

Feeling lucky? Why not celebrate at Sticky Rice's (1224 H Street) Friday the 13th Anniversary Party. The restaurant turns eight this month, and they will celebrate by "DJing music VIDEO JAM SLAMTOWN."
