News Brief: Mythology & Lore Brunch, Cusbah Statement, Sospeso Update
Mythology Restaurant & Lore Lounge (816 H St.) launches brunch service this weekend (12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday). The new restaurant, which serves "globally influenced nouveaux American inspired cuisine," held a soft opening during this year's H Street Festival. They haven't yet posted the brunch menu, but their dinner menu features dishes like Mojo Pork (braised shoulder, spiced tenderloin, ham, and pickles, with mustard jus), and But I'm a Vegetarian (curried chickpea ragout, and stewed eggplant, with lemon yogurt). You can read more about Mythology & Lore in this recent City Paper write-up.
Cusbah (1128 H St.), which recently won a court battle over an eviction attempt by their landlord, has issued a statement about the matter that is published on the blog District Cuisine.
District Cuisine also brings us an update on Sospeso (1344 H St.), along with a sample menu with nods to Mediterranean, southern European, and northern Aftrican fare. The post advises us to look for coffee and pastries in the morning, sandwiches and salads in the afternoon, and a full menu of pastas, meats, and fish at night.
