Crafty Bastards is this weekend in tents outside Union Market (1309 Fifth St.). Tickets are $6 for one day, or $10 for both Saturday and Sunday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, some vendors may only be there one day). This is a fun annual exhibition and sale put on by the Washington City Paper, and featuring creations by independent artists and makers. It's a great place to find yourself some special, or to pick up the perfect gift.

Those worried about a ten year old girl from the Trinidad neighborhood who went missing near H Street yesterday can breathe a sigh of relief, as she has been found safe.

Ivy City's Big Chief (2002 Fenwick St.) will host the September finale of 202Creates this Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. This is one of a series of "events and activities that build and enrich our communities across all 8 Wards. 202Creates featured conversations with innovators, residents, and businesses with a goal of furthering engagement between government and the creative community." This event is free, and you can register online.
