The District Department of Transportation will temporarily close lanes on the Hopscotch Bridge by Union Station starting today. The closures, which will allow DDOT to perform preservation activities, will take place outside of rush hour. All work will be conducted between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., and is not expected to significantly impact the flow of traffic. If all goes well, the work should be done by Feb. 28.
