Metro Mutts (508 H St.) will have a Valentine's Day pet photo booth Sunday, February 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. During this time a trainer from Spot On Training will be on-hand to answer any questions you might have about training, pet wellness, and the like. By the way, Metro Mutts is among the local businesses vying for titles in Washington City Paper's Best of Poll. You can vote for the store for Best Pet Shop and Best Dog Walk Service.

The Trinidad Crafting Salon is back at Capital Fringe (1358 Florida Ave) on Monday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring your portable craft and hang out with friends and neighbors who share your interest in creative pursuits. This event typically happens the second Monday of the month, but check the Fringe calendar to verify future occurrences. This month's how to presentation comes from Francesca Valente, who will demonstrate hand knitting (no needles required - just hands with fingers). This event is free and open to all ages. The Fringe Arts Bar will be open for all your beverage needs.

Learn to make coq au vin in Harvey's Market's Poultry 101 class Feb. 16 (6 p.m. to 8 p.m., $40). Participants will also learn how to break-down their own free-range chicken and package it to take home and cook. Harvey's Market is located inside Union Market at 1309 Fifth St.
