Police identified him as 63 year old Walter Mack Clark of SE D.C., and they arrested 76 year old Thomasine Bennett of NE D.C. charging her with Assault with Intent to Kill. That charge was later upgraded to First Degree Murder While Armed after the autopsy results came back.

That night at 9:21 p.m., police responded to a report of gunshots. Officer arrived to find an adult male unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, but did not survive. Police later identified the victim as 53-year-old Eric Linnair Wright.

Love is the answer. To love others you must first learn to love yourself. We are all in this together. Stop eating the chemical meat from McDonald's. Try a salad. Work out. Plant a flower in the best soil you can find. Be the best you you can be. If that is still not good enough, try to be like someone you admire. Before you hurt someone, think. You could be the next Ghandi, never forget that ultimately we are spiritual beings. Violence is the symptom. Be the cure. Turn your words and actions into penicillin. This is your true destiny. We can end the prison-industrial complex if we stop giving them ourselves as the resources to profit from. The library is the true source of freedom. The books are free and the minds inside are freer. There is nothing more valuable than a penny saved than love for each other. Also, call your mother and tell her you love her before its too late.

@ 11:32 you're on point. I think most people I know believe love is the answer whether they want to admit it or not. Love is inside all of us. How we can bring that out in others especially those who chose to live a life of crime is a huge challenge. Helping the poor and the needy is something many do often. But how do you convince someone who is motivated by greed and is willing to resort to violence to achieve earthly pleasures, I am not sure how to go do that.

I'll take body armor and an aggressive campaign to do something about the rampant criminality over love. Love is for my family and friends. Everyone else is potentially hostile until proven otherwise.

One of these sounds like Domestic Drama, but there may be some gang violence/retribution going on...

Anyone know if the drug markets are up for grabs or the gangs are fighting over turf?

i dunno. i believe in love too, but it hasn't really worked on a mass scale anywhere... ever.the one thing that seems to always make a difference (good or bad) is anger and hostility. in fact, without those, would there even be a call for "love"? calling for 'love' lacks in specificity. there are no long term goals... no short term objectives... no benchmarks or milestones to measure against. also, the return on investment is usually negative - a big turn off for most americans. don't get me wrong, LOVE sounds awesome.it might even be a good idea! (so are flying cars, by the way. and where the hell are they?!)

we need an american alternative to replace the idea of love as a solution. maybe stone cold sobriety? for most, that's not even close to love - it's punishment.

What a quandry...

Love all you want but a swift boot in the ass is far more effective.
