Arrest in 6/28 Murder of Michael Vest
22 year old Tavon Maurice Davis of SE was arrested on Friday, and charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed in the killing of 29 year old Michael Vest. Mr. Vest's body was discovered the morning of Wednesday, June 28, on the porch of a rowhouse in the 1300 block of Trinidad Avenue NE. Initial press reports suggested it was a shooting, but MPD later revealed that the victim was "suffering from apparent blunt force trauma to the head."

Neither sound like Model Citizens.
It's a pity. One man is dead, another will likely get serious jail time.
