There was another shooting in our area on Friday night about 9:15pm. This one happened in the 700 block of 19th Street NE, which places it in the Rosedale/Kingman Park area just south of Benning Road NE. No lookout information was provided, and I don't have any information on the status of the victims. The crime alert identified this as event #I20180133941. Apparently this was actually a triple shooting and per a story in the March 10th print edition of the Washington Post all three victims were conscious and breathing when located by MPD ("Three shot, wounded in Northeast, police say"). That was not clear from the original alert which simply read "Alert: Shooting at 2115 hrs in the 700 block of 19th St NE. No Lookout at this time."

ANC 5D05 Commissioner Kathy Henderson announced that she will hold a safety walk with Assistant Chief Greene, 1D Commander Kane and 5D Commander Fitzgerald tonight at 7pm. The group will meet at the Starburst Plaza (intersection of Benning and Bladensburg).
