Union Station (50 Massachusetts Avenue NE) will play host to a pretty cool event on Thursday (9am–5pm) and Friday (9am–4pm). Head to the Main Hall for the fifth annual Earth Day celebration with NASA. The event is free and open to the public. Come learn about space and the technology NASA uses with hands on activities and multimedia stories of discovery. Former astronaut Paul Richards  will sign autographs Thursday (12–1pm). Catch a live performance of American folk and bluegrass music by the band Geraldine, which is made up of NASA employees.

The Union Station Redevelopment Corporation will also have a table set up for anyone interested in learning more about Union Station and its architecture and fascinating history. Special guests Sergeant Micah Jones and K9 dog Summer of the Amtrak Police Department will visit from 2–3pm both days. Summer is up for a Hero Dog Award, so come say "Hi" and vote for this outstanding working dog.
