Cultivate the City Will Host a Free Seed(ling) Swap Sunday 4/22

Pepper seedlings chilling in my basement

If you are anything like me you've been thinking about gardening and what you might grow this year for quite a while. I've been working with a decent beginner set-up for starting seeds in the basement for the past several weeks and I have some baby pepper, tomato, and basil plants to show for it. Whether you've embarked on a similar project, or have just been amassing a collection of seeds, you have a chance to shake up your collection this weekend at Cultivate the City's seed and seedling swap. The free event requires tickets, but spots are still available as of this morning. The seed/seedling exchange will take place from 12:30–1:30pm Sunday at H Street Farms on the roof of W.S. Jenks & Son Hardware (910 Bladensburg Road NE).  Cultivate will pass any remaining seeds or seedlings from the swap on to local school gardens.
