Police are looking for 18 year old Dekale Bowman, who is facing a second degree murder charge in connection with the January 25th shooting death of 16 year old Taiyania Thompson in Bowman's apartment in the 1000 block of Mt. Olivet Road. Bowman "is currently wanted on an outstanding DC Superior Court bench warrant" after he failed to appear for a hearing scheduled for Friday in connection with Thompson's murder. A Fox5 story explains that Bowman, who has claimed that Thompson was his girlfriends and that the shooting was accidental, was apparently transferred to the custody of Prince George's County in recent days for an unrelated matter. Rather than return Bowman to the custody of DC, PG County released him on bond May 3rd after a search for open warrants yielded no results.
