A man sustained non-life-threatening injuries when he was shot last night near the intersection of 17th & E Street NE. In a message sent to a local email list MPD Lieutenant Patrick Brescia described the man's injuries as "non life-threatening," and indicated that the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Per that email, the assault happened at 9:16pm (slightly earlier than the time indicated in the alert). Police are still seeking to identify a suspect.
