Don't Miss Krampusnacht this Saturday

DSC_0172
I wanted to remind folks that Krampusnacht is coming up this Saturday (Dec. 1). It's a little earlier this year than usual, so don't miss it just because it comes right on the heels of Thanksgiving. This is one of my favorite annual H Street events. Thanks to efforts from the organizers it truly has become an event that is fun for all ages. Advance tickets to the reception and after events are currently available for a suggested donation of $15 (remember the proceeds go to support DC foster kids through The National Center for Children & Families). The organizers stress that this a suggested donation and no one will be turned away until they reach capacity. Kids 12 and under are admitted free with a parent or guardian. Even if the courtyard fills up, you can still take part in the charity walk. I previously posted details about the upcoming evening's events, but I wanted to also share some of my photos from last year.

Costumes are by no means required, but you will see a ton of people who have really put in some serious efforts for the night.
