We had a double shooting and a stabbing on Saturday. The shooting took place around noon in the 1100 block of 17th Street NE (Carver-Langston). According to the Washington Post the man and woman who were shot were "conscious and breathing" at the time they were taken to a nearby hospital.

The stabbing happened later that night when a man "standing in the front of 716 H Street NE"..."was approached by another male who produced a sharp object and cut the man on the wrist after a physical fight took place." That's per an email from 1-D Captain Aubrey P. Mongal to the MPD 1-D Yahoo group.
