Fans of local Indian restaurant Indigo (243 K St. NE) will have yet another nearby option for enjoying their food. On Saturday Twitter user @capitolhillphil tweeted a photo of their new stand at Union Market (1309 Fifth St. NE). The stand wasn't quite open on Saturday, but @capitolhillphil spoke to owner Dinesh Tandon, who advised that they hoped to open either the next day, or today. The stall is in the space formerly occupied by Mediterranean Corner. Good news, it will be open on Sundays (unlike the main restaurant). According to@capitalhillphil we can expect an abbreviated menu that will include a cornbread spinach item not available at the main restaurant.
