A reader spotted this chicken under the bridge at 2nd & K Street NE. It appears to be headed towards a meal, so I would venture that this chicken could be either an escapee from a local backyard, or just someone's pet out for a little exercise. No harm, no foul? Does anyone know the story behind this chicken?
A look at what's going on in Trinidad, on H Street, and in the larger area north of Capitol Hill.

Twitter user @djbays chimed in to let us know that this chicken is now safely in the custody of the Humane Rescue Alliance and going by the name Red. If she's belongs with you, there is still time to claim her at their New York Avenue location (1201 New York Ave. NE),
